Meet The Chef
Chef Dave Mahady is ArtBar’s culinary craftsman. Chef Dave creates the menus, sources the ingredients, and oversees the production. Raised in Albany New York, Chef Dave began his culinary career early while in high school and working for a local BBQ restaurant. There, Dave learned the value of crafting simple yet flavorful dishes. After school, Dave found inspiration from a former Chef to continue expanding upon his food knowledge at The Culinary Institute of America. At CIA Chef Dave perfected his craft by incorporating sustainable sourcing and combining unique ingredients to create amazing dishes. Upon graduation Dave moved to Boston where he worked for Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center for many years before joining Royal Sonesta Boston and ArtBar Restaurant. At ArtBar, Chef Dave sources the best regional ingredients to provide an authentic New England dining experience to customers. Dave recommends trying the Lamb Burger, made with pickled red onions, chimichurri, feta, fried green tomato on pretzel bun! Outside of the kitchen you will find Dave spending time with his family at the beach or headed out on a camping trip.
